Saltado Sessions

End User License Agreement

Early access. These are the current terms for Sessions, written in plain language. A lawyer's review is planned; any changes will be posted on this page.

This agreement is between you and Saltado LLC (a Texas limited liability company, "we" or "us"), the maker of the Sessions software ("Sessions"). By installing or using Sessions you agree to these terms.

  1. License. One Pro license covers one person on up to 3 machines they personally use. The free tier may be used without restriction.
  2. Ownership. You own your music and your data. The Sessions software remains the property of Saltado LLC.
  3. No warranty. Most of Sessions only reads your files. Some of its tools change them on purpose when you run them: organizing your library moves project folders, importing moves files into it, and the file actions on a project rename, duplicate and delete session files. Nothing on your disk changes unless you ask for it, and you should back up your work before you ask. The software is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, Saltado LLC is not liable for data loss or damages arising from use of the software.
  4. Restrictions. Don't redistribute, resell, or crack the software; don't use it to build a competing dataset/service.
  5. Trademarks. Sessions is an independent tool, not affiliated with or endorsed by any DAW maker. "Ableton" and "Ableton Live" are trademarks of Ableton AG, "FL Studio" of Image-Line, "Logic Pro" and "GarageBand" of Apple Inc., "REAPER" of Cockos Inc., "Studio One" of PreSonus Audio Electronics, "Bitwig Studio" of Bitwig GmbH, "Cubase" of Steinberg Media Technologies GmbH, "Pro Tools" of Avid Technology, Inc., and "Reason" of Reason Studios AB; all other marks belong to their respective owners.
  6. Termination. Licenses violated under §4 may be revoked; refunds per store policy (14 days, no questions).
  7. Governing law. This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
  8. The online services are covered separately. This agreement covers the Sessions software on your computer, which runs on your own machine and needs no account. If you create an account, subscribe, back your work up to the Vault or make a share link, those are covered by the Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy, which you agree to separately when you create the account. Installing Sessions does not sign you up for anything.
