Techno labels accepting demos
The catalog holds 252 techno labels, 45 of them written up in full below. Techno's institutions and its cottage industry sit in the same alphabetical list, and telling the two apart is most of the work: Axis has been Jeff Mills's own vehicle since 1992, Cocoon is the label half of Sven Väth's Frankfurt club operation, and [a:rpia:r] is a vinyl-only Romanian imprint whose catalogue is deliberately tiny and famously never repressed. A label that never represses is not short of demos, it is short of slots. None of this says who is open right now, which in techno changes faster than any page can keep up with.
What this page is, and what it is not
It is a scene page. The 45 labels written up below run from Casablanca to Perth to Montréal, and the paragraph is what tells one from another: Atipic presses roughly one or two 12-inch records a year in Bucharest, while Bass Works Recordings once put out 334 tracks in 100 weeks. The remaining 207 of the 252 are in the directory by name, genre-tagged and searchable, with the write-up still to come.
It is not a list of open inboxes. A techno label can look alive from outside and not be: the Bass Works entry records a site that stopped being updated in 2016 and a catalogue that slowed to occasional releases afterwards. Submission policy moves faster still, closing for a season and reopening with no announcement, which is why no page can honestly print one.
The routes live in the app rather than here. Sessions carries this catalog as a directory you can search and filter, with the current known route beside somewhere to write down what you find out yourself, because research is the only thing that answers "are they open right now".
How to read this list
- Alphabetical, not ranked. There is no scoring here and no top ten, and no weighting by size either: a two-person label in Scotland is sorted by its name like the club imprints and the institutions around it.
- The line under each name is the catalog's own genre tagging, and on this page it is doing most of the sorting: 32 of the 45 written-up labels name a sub-genre, because one word covers hypnotic Romanian minimal, acid, industrial and peak-time driving techno alike.
- Labels and outlets are kept apart. This is a press-heavy corner of the catalog: the section further down holds 12 magazines and 11 radio stations, and pitching a magazine like an imprint wastes the send.
- Some labels charge to consider a demo. That is recorded as a flag rather than as prose, which is why it lives in the app and not in the write-ups above. This page does not say which, and it names no fees.

1Ø Pills Mate
1Ø Pills Mate is a UK rave, acid and electro imprint established in 2015 within the Lobster Theremin family and distributed by Lobster Distribution. Discogs describes it simply as a 'Rave label from the UK' and its Bandcamp gives London as the base. Across 55 catalogued releases it put out mostly vinyl 12-inches of acid, electro and hard-edged club material, and it spun off a sublabel, Cyberdome. Its output stops in 2022.
1605
Founded in 2007 by the Slovenian DJ and producer UMEK, 1605 has been one of the longest running artist-led techno imprints in Europe. The label added a sister imprint, 1605 GrooveSector, for hardgroove techno.
99CTS
99cts RCRDS is a tapes and zines label started in 2017 by Miley Serious, a French DJ, producer and radio host, and now run from New York. Its own Bandcamp bio reads 'From NYC via PARIS, tapes & zines label by Miley Serious, since 2017', and Resident Advisor describes it as a record label and a fanzine run by Miley Serious. The music is DIY club rather than straight techno: electro, hard drum, breaks, rave edits and lo-fi acid, put out on tape, vinyl and digital. The label runs a numbered print zine series alongside the records (99CTS INPRNT, issues 01 through 06) and does apparel collaborations with P.A.M. and Waste Store London.
Abstract Architecture
The personal imprint of Satoshi Tomiie, described by Resident Advisor as 'a Japanese label from house music legend Satoshi Tomiie'; Tomiie himself is based in New York and has been a fixture in house since its early days. He launched the label in 2015 alongside his second album 'New Day' (via search snippet, unverified). The catalogue is mostly his own long-form work and collaborations rather than an open roster: 'Abstract Nature' (2017), 'Echos Cosmiques', the 'Magic Hour' album (2024), the A_A project with Nao Gunji and TAKT with Kamran Sadeghi. The sound sits in deep house, dub techno and minimal rather than club techno.
Acid Techno Techno Club
Acid Techno Techno Club is a Vienna and Berlin acid techno party series with a small record label attached, describing itself on both Bandcamp and SoundCloud as a techno label based in Vienna and Berlin. It started in Vienna (its Instagram bio reads SINCE 2019, though Resident Advisor billed a 6 YEARS edition in October 2024, which would put the first party in 2018) and became a fixture at Grelle Forelle, the club it credits as where it fell in love with techno. It has run open-air and indoor editions in Berlin at DSTRKT, formerly Anomalie Art Club, and its stated aim is to connect people across cities and create temporary spaces built around aesthetics, freedom and togetherness. The recorded side is much smaller than the live one: the label's Bandcamp holds two EPs, both by DLV, who is also a resident at essentially every edition.
Afterlife
Founded in 2016 by the Italian duo Tale Of Us, made up of Carmine Conte (now recording as MRAK) and Matteo Milleri (now Anyma), and run out of Berlin. It began as a joint event series and record label and grew into a large audiovisual brand, staging sold-out shows from Tulum and Mexico City to Ibiza, London and Tomorrowland, with its own 'Afterlife Voyage' podcast series. Its sound is the widescreen melodic-techno template that dominated the late 2010s, summarised in its own tagline as 'an odyssey through the realm of consciousness'.
Air Miles Rec.
A small, slow-moving London imprint that styles itself lowercase 'air miles', with nine catalogue numbers across roughly seven years. Resident Advisor lists it as established 2018; the first release, AM001 Jeigo 'An Ode to Midnight', went up on SoundCloud about seven years before July 2026, so 2018-19 is the honest range. The label has never published an about text anywhere. The only account of its origins is a Bolting Bits interview with Jeigo, who names the founders only as 'Joe, Harry and Chris', says they approached him online after his Valby releases, and adds 'to be honest they would be much better to ask about it (I still don't know why its called air miles haha)'. Founder surnames, the exact founding year and any label philosophy could not be established beyond that.
All We Have Is Now
All We Have Is Now (AWHIN) is the label Bristol-born, Detroit-based producer Will Clarke announced in November 2019 and launched in early 2020, alongside a January-to-March US open-to-close tour. It was pitched as his move away from tech house into more vocal, techno-leaning material and as a home for both his own records and rising artists, after his run of releases on Drumcode, Truesoul, Abode and Relief. Breakout singles 'Hallelujah' and 'U Take Me Higher' came out on it. The catalogue has since drifted back toward house and bass-leaning house, and is past AWHIN043 as of 2026.
Amber Recordings
Amber Recordings is the techno imprint of the Amber Music Label Group, run from Hamburg by Ralf Picka and Timm Refflinghaus under the trading name We Are Independent. The group splits strictly by sound: Amber Recordings takes techno in the peak-time, driving and minimal-tech register, Amber Blue Recordings takes melodic house and techno, Amber Red Recordings takes tech house, house and deep house, and the Amber Music Label Group umbrella takes anything else electronic. Amber Recordings releases run on an AR catalogue prefix and the group also produces the Amber Radio Show. It is a working, chart-facing operation rather than a boutique: group releases place inside Beatport's melodic top 100 release charts. In 2026 the group retired its website entirely and moved its front door to Instagram.
Amphia
Amphia is a Bucharest label founded by Romanian producers Cristi Cons and Vlad Caia, who also record together as SIT. Its stated premise is a private, invented world of sound, described by the label as rediscovering 'lost artefacts of ancient electronic music using a very futuristic technique'. It functions as a selective outlet for the founders' own work, released alongside a strong visual identity with a video for each record. The catalogue is small and slow-moving but has widened past the pair into other Romanian and international minimal artists.
ANS Recordings
ANS Recordings is the personal album imprint of New York producer Anthony Naples, run as a division of Incienso, the label he co-founded in 2017 with Jenny Slattery. It launched in 2018 with the OTT / ZTL 12 inch and has since carried every one of his solo full-lengths: Fog FM in 2019, Chameleon in 2021, Orbs in 2023, Scanners in 2025 and In Studio Magic in December 2025. The sound is the reason the book files it under house, techno and downtempo at once: Resident Advisor characterises the catalogue as home listening techno, smoky house and techno, and a guitar-heavy downtempo record, and the recent albums sit in a dub house register. Its catalogue numbers run ANS1000 through ANS8000, one per album. Incienso, the parent, is the outward-facing label with an actual roster (DJ Python, Huerco S., Call Super, James K, Loidis, Beta Librae); ANS is the wing reserved for Naples himself.
[a:rpia:r]
Vinyl-only Romanian imprint founded in 2007 by the DJ trio Rhadoo, Petre Inspirescu and Raresh, and the label that effectively defined the stripped-back, hypnotic 'Romanian minimal' (rominimal) sound built around the Bucharest scene. Its catalogue is deliberately tiny and famously never repressed, which is why the records trade at collector prices and why the label's reputation far outruns its output. High points include Petre Inspirescu's triple-LP 'Gradina Onirica' (2012) and Ricardo Villalobos's 'Empirical House LP' (2017); the label's stated philosophy on RA is that a DJ set is 'a puzzle of tracks, that wants to achieve an image'.
Atipic (/ AtipicLab / Atipic Digital)
Atipic is an independent, vinyl-only Romanian label founded in Bucharest in 2016 by Adrian Niculae, who records and DJs as Priku. It became one of the reference imprints of the rominimal sound, running a main vinyl line alongside the more experimental AtipicLab series (opened in 2018 with Arapu) and a digital line, Atipic Digital. The catalogue is small and slow by design, roughly one or two 12-inch records a year, and its releases carry unusually high community ratings on Discogs.
Aus Music
Aus Music was founded in 2006 in London by producer and DJ Will Saul together with Ninja Tune artist Fink, as a more experimental and leftfield counterpart to Saul's earlier Simple Records. It explores the outer edges of house, techno, electro and dub, and is credited with early releases from Bicep, George FitzGerald and Dusky. The label passed its 200th release in 2024 and is part of the !K7 Label Group.
Axis
Axis is the American techno label founded by Jeff Mills in 1992, and it remains the primary home for his own catalogue. It began on the East Coast after Mills left Detroit, ran for years from a Chicago address, and now operates from a Miami Beach, Florida base. Its identity is conceptual and long-form: sci-fi and space-themed albums, live recordings, film and performance projects, plus a quarterly digital publication called The Escape Velocity Magazine. A cluster of sublabels carries the rest of the output, including Purpose Maker, Tomorrow, 6277, Str Mrkd, Something In The Sky and the Axis Expressionist Series. The 2020 Axis Special Editions run opened the catalogue to other techno producers, but the label is still overwhelmingly Mills's own vehicle.
Bass Agenda Recordings
Bass Agenda Recordings is the label arm of Bass Agenda, the UK electro platform run by Andy Barton. The radio show came first, around 2012, built on long-form interviews rather than guest mixes, with guests including Juan Atkins, The Egyptian Lover, Anthony Rother, Dave Clarke and Detroit In Effect. The label started in 2013 with the double CD and digital compilation The Fight Against the Mundane and has since passed 130 catalogue numbers across vinyl, CD, USB and digital. The remit is dark, techy electro that stays faithful to the genre's origins, alongside regular charity releases and a supporters club. The radio show premieres monthly on YouTube and also airs on Ireland's RTE 2FM as part of Late Night Sessions.
Bass Culture
Bass Culture Records is a house and techno label started in 2009 by the Parisian DJ and producer D'Julz, and it takes its name from his long-running Bass Culture residency at Rex Club in Paris, which the label and Resident Advisor both describe as the club's longest-running residency. The catalogue has stayed deliberately dance-floor-first and international across ~77 catalogue numbers, mixing French artists with US and German deep-house names. It is still visibly a going concern in 2026: a D'Julz album, a V.A. compilation and a Kerouac EP all landed that year, and the Rex Club nights continue.
Bass Works Recordings
Bass Works Recordings is a Japanese techno and tech house label founded in 2013 by the DJ and producer Sugiurumn together with Osakaman and Nao Nomura. Its defining idea was volume and pace: a weekly release schedule aimed at both domestic and international producers it called Bass Workers. That model worked hard and fast, reaching its 100th title on 1 April 2015 having put out 334 tracks in 100 weeks, and drawing in a cross-section of the Japanese club scene including DJ Tasaka, DJ Sodeyama, Hideo Kobayashi and Shin Nishimura. The label's own website has not been updated since June 2016, and the catalogue since then has slowed to occasional releases dominated by Sugiurumn himself.
Bedrock Records
Bedrock Records is the British label founded by DJ John Digweed, taking its name from his long-running production partnership with Nick Muir, whose 'Heaven Scent' is the track the imprint launched around. It has been a central home for progressive house, progressive breaks and techno since the late 1990s, and doubles as the platform for Digweed's mix compilations and the Bedrock club and event brand. It remains prolific, with a steady release schedule and Bedrock parties running in cities including Los Angeles and San Francisco.
Berg Audio
Berg Audio is a dub techno label that describes itself as taking its aesthetic inspiration from the lost monuments of the Soviet era in eastern Europe. Its releases run through deep, dubby and hypnotic territory, with an ongoing ELEMENTS series that hands a record over to a single producer at a time. Recent instalments have gone to Zone+, Traumer and Mihai Popoviciu, several of them running to multiple volumes. The label is distributed and stocked through European dance specialists including Clone, Yoyaku and Traxsource, and it is releasing steadily into 2026. Its own website has not been touched in years, but the discography has not slowed.
Bunkaball Records
Bunkaball is the Paris-based label of French producer Don Rimini, founded in January 2017. Its own strapline is 'Don Rimini's Label. We Love Techno, Ghetto House, and Old School House', and its catalogue runs to 120-plus releases built around jacking ghetto-house and old-school house, including the long-running various-artist series The Bank and Don Rimini's own Lost Tape volumes. Since 2018 Don Rimini has hosted a monthly Bunkaball radio show, now a residency on Rinse France.
Cacao Records
Cacao Records is a Central American label based in Berlin, founded in 2016 by the Panamanian brothers Lloyd and Kevin Keene, who record as KEENE, together with Guatemalan producer Jose Raul Gonzalez, aka Gonzo-Gonzo. It describes itself as a 'Central American rooted label with a knack for refreshing exotic dopeness of house & techno flavors, destined for late night dancefloors', and its first year already featured names like Henrik Schwarz, Seth Troxler, Tiefschwarz, youANDme and Rick Wade. The label also runs its own Cacao Amor showcase series, and its recent catalogue leans into Latin- and Afro-inflected deep and tech house.
Casa Voyager
Casa Voyager takes its name from Casablanca's main railway station and has been the engine of Morocco's underground electronic scene since its first record in July 2017. It was founded by Driss Bennis (who produces as OCB and DJ.Booth) with Youssef Benjelloun and Jonas Bengio, all of them drawing on time spent living abroad to push past what the region was expected to make. The label's whole posture is a refusal of the idea that sunny places must produce sunny music: its catalogue is hard, funky electro, breakbeat and Detroit-leaning techno built for the darker corners of the club, and it describes itself in exactly four words: 'Record label. Train station.' Over time it grew from a local concern into an internationally distributed tastemaker with parallel series (Casa Sports, TWR, CVX, POST), drawing Detroit and European electro veterans like DMX Krew/EDMX, Computor Rockers and Detroit's Filthiest in alongside its Moroccan and Egyptian artists.
Cécille Records
Cecille Records was founded in 2007 by Nick Curly and Marc Scholl, and became one of the Mannheim scene's defining house imprints, identified with a rolling, loop-driven tech and minimal house sound. Its early run built careers for Nick Curly, SIS, Markus Fix, Robert Dietz and Johnny D, with later records from Lee Burridge & Matthew Dekay, DJ Sneak, Uner and Sebo K. The founders have described the label as a symbol of a friendship going back nearly 25 years, and say they favour timeless tracks over trend-chasing drops. Its current Bandcamp copy frames it as a cult label set to return, and a steady 2025 to 2026 release run backs that up.

Started in 2019 as a playlist channel and grew into a German label releasing house and techno.
CircoLoco
CircoLoco Records is the record label arm of CircoLoco, the Monday party that has run at DC-10 in Ibiza since the late 1990s and has since franchised worldwide. The label was established in May 2021 by CircoLoco founder Antonio Carbonaro with business partner Andrea Pelino, in an unusual partnership with ROCKSTAR GAMES (the Grand Theft Auto publisher), and its releases are folded into GTA Online's virtual clubs and radio. It opened with the 'Monday Dreamin'' compilation (June 2021, with Seth Troxler, Rampa, Dixon, Kerri Chandler and Sama' Abdulhadi) and has since moved from underground house/techno toward big, chart-facing records: Prospa's debut album, PAWSA, Skream, Mochakk, Carlita, Jamback and now ANOTR.
Citizen Records
Citizen Records is the Dijon label Pascal Arbez-Nicolas started in 2001, better known as Vitalic, and it has been his home base ever since; he added a second imprint, Clivage Music, in 2016. The label's own description says it is 'focused today on techno projects only', though the catalogue across two decades takes in electro, dark disco and body music alongside Vitalic's albums and soundtracks. The roster has stayed small and largely French, and the label marked the twentieth anniversary of his 2005 debut 'OK Cowboy' by reissuing Vitalic's back catalogue.
Cocoon Recordings
Cocoon Recordings was founded in 2000 in Frankfurt am Main by Sven Väth, as the label arm of Cocoon Music Event GmbH and a companion to the Cocoon club nights and the long-running Ibiza residency. Its stated purpose from the start was to let young producers and DJs release without depending on major-label structures, and the output sits mostly in techno and house. It has stayed deliberately vinyl-first even after adding a digital division in 2008 and founding Cocoon Publishing in 2010. It marked its 25th year with the '25 Years Cocoon Recordings' compilation volumes across 2025 and 2026.
Code3qr
COD3 QR is a French label run by Laurent Garnier with Oliver Way. Its own copy states the pitch plainly: 'The people behind the label are Laurent Garnier and Oliver Way, curating for the curious, the seekers, the adventurers and the brave', and elsewhere that it wants to stay 'free of all expectations and all prejudices because only one thing counts: the music'. In practice that means techno, house, electro, drum and bass and ambient sitting in one catalogue. The imprint began with a numbered COD3 QR 001 to 016 series and later switched to a self-describing catalogue code encoding day-of-year and year, and it has also carried Laurent Garnier's own material.
Craigie Knowes
Craigie Knowes is a record label and DJ duo based in Perth, Scotland, running since 2015. Its own Instagram bio states the operation plainly: 'Record Label & DJs, Perth, Scotland, Max & Mitch, Since 2015'. Discogs names the pair as Mitch Hunter and Max Spittal (the label itself only ever prints first names). It has become one of Scotland's most prolific independent outlets for electro, breakbeat, acid and raw club house, and is notable for platforming debut and early-career producers alongside established names, with a catalogue past CKNOWEP75 and two sublabels, C-KNOW-EVIL and Wormhole Wisdom. The label trades through a Bandcamp custom domain, which is why craigieknowes.com redirects into Bandcamp for anything other than the shop front.
Crosstown Rebels
Crosstown Rebels was founded in 2003 by DJ and former City Rockers A&R man Damian Lazarus, and has run from the UK ever since. The label's own about page puts talent discovery at its centre and credits it with early platforms for Jamie Jones, Seth Troxler and Maceo Plex. Beyond records it operates the Get Lost and Day Zero parties plus the Crosstown Consciousness sustainability strand, so it functions as much as an events brand as an imprint. Its current output sits across melodic house and techno, tech house and organic/indie dance.
Deeply Rooted
Deeply Rooted was started in Paris in 2003 by DJ Deep (Cyril Etienne des Rosaies) as Deeply Rooted House, built to release records by the American house producers he counted as friends and mentors, beginning with people like Kerri Chandler, K Alexi and Jovonn. In 2013 he dropped 'House' from the name because he did not want the label read as one style only, and the later catalogue turned decisively toward techno with Ben Klock, Marcel Dettmann, Mike Dehnert, François X, Zadig and Roman Poncet. DJ Deep has described the operating principle as releasing music by people he can talk to directly, with no ego in the conversation. The catalogue reached DRH061 in October 2019 and nothing has been added since early 2020.
Diffuse Reality
Diffuse Reality is an independent techno label founded in 2013 that describes itself as focused on showcasing emerging artists and enhancing the techno scene, with its own bio placing it across Berlin, Barcelona and Buenos Aires. The output is raw, hypnotic and deep techno, released on vinyl and digital at a steady pace. Around the label sits a small ecosystem: the sublabels Periphylla and APS: A Psychomagic Story, the Teorema arts festival, and a record shop it opened in Barcelona.
EXPERTS ONLY
John Summit started the label and event brand in 2022 while touring, originally as Off The Grid Records, wanting to release without a label's constraints. In June 2023 Mikey Made Cromie, the promoter behind California's Off The Grid Campout, sent a cease-and-desist over the name, and in September 2023 Summit rebranded to Experts Only: a double-black-diamond ski warning, matching a lifelong skiing habit that also gave him his stage name, and a phrase already printed on Off The Grid merch a year earlier, so the switch read as organic rather than forced. Operating from Summit's Miami base under the motto 'Music Without Limits', with distribution through Darkroom Records, it now claims '30+ Artists and Counting', took SiriusXM's Powertools Label of the Year for 2025, and was EDM.com's best label of 2024. It has also grown its own festival: Experts Only Festival runs 19-20 September 2026 at Randall's Island Park in New York.
EXTATIC Records
Founded by the Dutch producer Maddix as a home for the fusion of techno, trance and festival electronic music that became his signature sound.
Knee Deep In Sound
Knee Deep In Sound is Daley Padley's own imprint (the Yorkshire DJ and producer better known as Hot Since 82), launched in 2014 on the back of his breakout years and his 2013 debut album 'Little Black Book'. Dance Music NW covered the launch in May 2014, when the early single 'Don't Touch The Alarm' arrived with a Booka Shade remix, and the label settled quickly into a big-room tech-house and deep-house lane, releasing peers like Cristoph, Nick Curly, Riva Starr and Steve Lawler alongside Padley's own records and a long-running 'Hot Since 82 Presents: Knee Deep In Sound' mix and event series. The notable turn is structural rather than musical: the label no longer keeps a website at all: kneedeepinsound.com now 301-redirects straight to its Instagram, and everything else routes through a Linktree, so it operates as a social-first imprint hung off Padley's artist brand. It is very much alive in 2026: his album 'Obsessions', his first full-length since 2020, is due 4 September 2026 on the label, led by 'Shaded', which reworks Shades Of Rhythm's rave-era 'Sound Of Eden'.
NAFF Recordings
NAFF is a Montréal label founded in 2018 and run by Francis Latreille and Adam Feingold, better known as the producers Priori and Ex-Terrestrial; their own SoundCloud bio puts it simply as 'Piloted by: @ex-terrestrial & @priori-ties'. Its info page describes it as 'a record label and online platform for emerging voices in electronic music', with releases ranging 'from techno to IDM, trance to experimental rap, and beyond', and both labels work with sculptors, painters and graphic designers on the physical editions. In 2020 the pair added the sister imprint GARMO, and the operation has since grown well past a bedroom label: a catalogue past NAFF033, vinyl under exclusive license, a staffed roster, the naffcast mix series and the un:send festival. Priori has become one of the more critically visible names in Canadian electronic music, pulling the label's profile up with him.
Natura Viva
Formed in Italy in 2010, Natura Viva is an independent house and techno group that has grown a family of sub-labels including Natura Viva Black.
Plasmapool
Plasmapool is the flagship imprint of Plasmapool Media Entertainment, a group that operates a family of genre specific sub-labels across electronic music.
Poker Flat
Poker Flat Recordings was founded in 1999 by German DJ and producer Steve Bug, whose own three-track EP 'Double Action' was the first release and set the deep, minimal, techy house template the label became known for. Built in Berlin around an early residency at Sternradio that drew guests including Josh Wink, Richie Hawtin and Ricardo Villalobos, it went on to become one of the defining house imprints of the 2000s and has now passed 25 years. The label also operates the sister imprint Sublease Music. One wrinkle worth flagging: it was founded in and is still associated with Berlin, and Steve Bug is described as Berlin-based in 2026 coverage, but the imprint on the official site gives a Hamburg business address. The Hamburg address was verified on the site, but no relocation could be dated or confirmed.
Riot Recordings
An independent techno label founded and run from Rome by the producer Frankyeffe. The name is given as an acronym of Revolutionary Idea On Time.
This Never Happened
This Never Happened is Daniel Goldstein's label and touring concept (Goldstein is Lane 8), founded in 2016 and run out of Denver, Colorado. It came directly out of his Anjunadeep years: Jody Wisternoff signed him to the English label in 2013 and his debut album 'Rise' landed there in July 2015, after which he built his own imprint to house his records and to introduce artists on his own terms. What the label is actually known for goes beyond the music: TNH shows ban phone and camera recording outright, under the banner 'Experience the moment. The roster tours as his support acts and remixes each other, and the long-running 'Root to Branch' compilation series (tenth volume as of 2024) is the label's A&R shop window. In 2026 it hit its tenth-anniversary mark, with a London date on 22 May and a Colorado run 6-14 June, and Le Youth's album 'who are you really?' was its most recent headline release.
Toolroom Records
Toolroom was started in 2003 by Mark Knight and his brother Stuart in Maidstone, Kent, about ninety minutes southeast of London, and the name is literal: their first office was an actual tool shed in the yard of a house. Mark Knight's founding line for it was 'we wanted to be a record label run by DJs, for DJs', and the label built its reputation on credible, functional house and tech house at a time when tech house was a niche; twenty years on it is the dominant sound in commercial dance music, which Toolroom has a real claim to having helped build. Knight's own remixes of 'Man With The Red Face' and 'You've Got The Love' are among its defining club records. It long ago stopped being just a label: Toolroom Radio is a weekly show the company claims reaches 16 million listeners, and Toolroom Academy runs production and DJ courses, sample packs, mastering and live events. For an unsigned producer the useful turn is February 2023, when Toolroom joined LabelRadar and formalised a demo pipeline. The Academy now runs weekly demo-review livestreams where feedback is given publicly.

A Hungarian electronic label founded in 2017, releasing techno, melodic and minimal techno, high tech minimal, tech house, trance and house.
X-Kalay
X-Kalay was established in London in 2016 and is curated and run by Sam Astbury; the operation is now based in Berlin. It emerged alongside the late-2010s lo-fi house boom and was first known for what Inverted Audio called pastel-infused dusty grooves under a forward-thinking house manifesto, but it has since broadened well past that into tech house, trance, electro and club-oriented material. The label has been notably consistent through 2026 and pairs emerging producers with established names. Coverage is thin on the reasons for the London-to-Berlin move and no date for it could be verified: the label's own pages state only the two locations.

These do not sign records. They play them, write about them or premiere them, which is a different pitch with a different message, and sending one an imprint-style demo email is a wasted send. They are here because a show or a blog is often the more realistic first yes, and the app marks every one of them as an outlet rather than a label for the same reason.

Boiler RoomPremiere channel
Boiler Room was founded in London in 2010 as 'weekly live broadcasts that opened a keyhole to London's underground,' and has since become the dominant global platform for filmed club sets, featuring over 9,000 artists across more than 300 locations. Its About page frames it as 'a stage' and 'lens on global club culture' with free-to-access content. Since June 2020 it has operated a firm pay policy: 'Boiler Room pays all artists for all broadcasted performances, full stop.'

HÖR describes itself as 'an independent online music platform, collective and cultural community space based in Berlin-Kreuzberg founded in 2019,' broadcasting 'DJ sets and Live acts 6 days a week' from its distinctive tiled room. It maintains a large searchable library organised by style and artist across house, techno, trance, drum & bass and ambient, plus a membership tier giving access to track IDs, and runs a contest strand called Maximum Heat.
hurfydPremiere channel
A London premiere channel: the SoundCloud profile states 'London', carries 16K followers and 304 tracks, and its bio reads in full 'real nice / submit a HURFCLUSIVE > [email address removed]'. Effectively every upload is a HURFCLUSIVE, a premiere of a record coming out on somebody else's label (Homage, Echocentric Records and others are named in the track titles), gathered into annual playlists such as 'HURFCLUSIVES 2026' (27 tracks) and rolling 'New Tracks' round-ups. The same operator also builds music tooling: cosine.club, linked from the profile, is an audio-similarity search engine across 1.9M+ tracks, self-described as 'made by hurfyd' and 'a deejay.tools project'. hurfyd has also appeared as guest #45 in the Blowing Up The Workshop mix series.
Inverted AudioMagazine
London-based underground electronic music platform running reviews, features, interviews, mixes and a heavy premiere series. Registered as Inverted Audio Ltd in London SE4, describing 'an extensive network across the UK, Europe and beyond'. Well regarded in the leftfield/house/techno critical press; founding date could not be established from the site.
Juno DailyMagazine
Editorial arm of the London record retailer Juno, publishing music and studio-tech news, reviews, features and interviews with heavy coverage of house, disco, techno and reissue culture. Based at 10 Greenland Street, London NW1. It splits editorial between a Music Editor and a Tech Editor.
Kiosk Radio
Kiosk Radio launched in 2017 and broadcasts 24/7 from a wooden kiosk in the Parc Royal in central Brussels, supported by the City of Brussels and the Brussels-Capital Region. Its About page calls it 'a place where music drifts between genres without boundaries or rules,' mixing live DJ sets, pre-recorded shows and artist conversations across jazz, ambient, hip hop, rock and electronic music. It also functions as a physical bar and gathering space and runs events including the annual Woodblocks festival, with partnerships including KANAL - Centre Pompidou and Horst Festival.
Les Yeux OrangeCollective
Les Yeux Orange started in early 2013 in Paris when, in the outfit's own words, 'Raphaël and Stan team up to share their passion and knowledge of electronic music', long-time collectors and DJs who began with a YouTube channel and a podcast series, then built a daily premiere series into one of the more closely followed SoundCloud curation platforms. They subsequently launched their eponymous vinyl imprint (LYO#001, Wav Fuzz, 2016) and the Good+ / Good Plus edits imprint, and ran an influential party series at La Rotonde Stalingrad in Paris. So the answer to the book's open question is BOTH: a genuine promo channel and a genuine label, simultaneously, for a decade. Not verified: the founders' surnames, which appear nowhere official.
LYL Radio
LYL is an independent French web radio that has operated in Lyon since 2015 from Les Ateliers SUMO, opening a Paris studio in November 2016, Brussels in 2020 and Marseille in 2021. Its About page describes a cultural project that 'has elected music as its main ethic' and gathers 'activists, record store owners, label founders, djs, musicians, specialists, geeks, weirdos and amateurs.' As of September 2026 it consolidated back to a single studio in Lyon, streaming fresh shows weekly every Thursday 9am to midnight Paris time, with archives filling the rest of the schedule.

It is listener-supported through donations and a 'Luvers' membership scheme.
NTS Radio
NTS is a London-founded online radio and music-discovery platform that launched in 2011 and runs two live channels 24/7, describing itself as 'a music discovery platform, built by music lovers for music lovers.' Its own About page says programming comes from artists and DJs 'from over 80 countries,' spanning 'hip-hop to highlife and jungle to j-pop,' and that it runs without on-air advertising and prioritises 'human curation over algorithmic recommendations.' It is the single most-cited tastemaker station in the underground electronic world and maintains a vast public archive.
Operator Radio
Operator Radio is an online radio station from Rotterdam, based at Schiestraat 18, streaming DJ sets and resident programmes with an archive of past broadcasts, live events and a merchandise shop. Its site maintains a roster of resident DJs producing regular programming plus curated staff picks. Founding date is not published on its own site.
Refuge WorldwideRadio
Refuge Worldwide is a Berlin community radio station and cultural space that began in 2015 as a grassroots fundraising initiative, with the radio station itself launching in January 2021. Since October 2025 it has operated from Niemetzstrasse 1 in Berlin-Neukölln, combining a 24/7 broadcast with an office, music production studio, café and event space. It runs free workshops and training in media, creative fields and mental health, and works 'in solidarity with nonprofits and community organizations across Berlin.'
Resident AdvisorMagazine
Founded in 2001, RA is the most influential editorial and listings platform in electronic music, describing itself as 'A platform to discover electronic music, artists and events'. It publishes news, features, reviews, films and podcasts with a global team of writers. A review or feature here carries more weight than anything else in this category, and is correspondingly the hardest to get.
The Lot Radio
The Lot Radio is an independent 24/7 online station broadcasting from a repurposed shipping container on an empty lot in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Its About page says it 'captures and broadcasts the wide spectrum of New York City's ever-evolving music scene,' with over 200 local residents and special guests participating weekly in shows that are both streamed and attended in person. The kiosk doubles as a public bar, open daily 10AM to midnight.
Threads Radio
Threads Radio is an online station launched around 2019, associated with the Tottenham venue The Cause in London and with a Berlin arm, focused on experimental sound, underground music and socially and politically engaged talk content. Its site publishes interviews, reviews and mixes covering events like Rewire Festival and the London Contemporary Music Festival. The Tottenham/The Cause and dual London-Berlin framing comes from press coverage (via search snippet, unverified) rather than the station's own pages.
Trommel MusicPremiere channel
Trommel is an online electronic music magazine and promo platform, NOT a record label: its own contact page and SoundCloud bio both describe it identically as 'a media platform and online electronic music magazine focusing on events, music and producers from the underground scene', and Discogs adds that it has been 'active since 2015' with a focus on the minimal scene. What it actually runs is a long-running mix series (Trommel.250 as of July 2026), a daily premiere service, reviews, a free-download series (TFD140), event listings, a ticketing arm and a shop. Could NOT verify a founder (no official page names anyone), and the 2015 start date is Discogs-sourced, not confirmed on Trommel's own pages.
Voices Radio
Voices Radio is a London online radio station and podcast studio that launched in June 2021, grown out of a decade-long club series called Ossia, and operates from Coal Drops Yard in Kings Cross with a second podcast studio at Mare Street Market. It describes itself as 'committed to diversity, inclusivity and equality' with a 50/50 gender producer split and free workshop series for underrepresented groups in the creative industries.
When We DipMagazine
Dance music magazine covering premieres, audio exclusives, podcasts, interviews and event coverage, with a strong melodic/deep house and indie-dance identity. Founded in Dublin, Ireland; the site's masthead reads 'Montreal - Dublin - Berlin' and the main office is now Montreal. It also runs When We Dip Records and the When We Dip Radio SoundCloud channel.
XLR8RMagazine
Veteran electronic music and culture publication, originally a US print magazine and now digital, publishing news, features, premieres, mixes and artist content under the tagline 'Accelerating Music and Culture'. It operates a paid membership tier, XLR8R+, bundling music, features and artist content such as sample packs and project files.

Where the routes and the tracking live
Saltado Sessions is a desktop app for producers. It scans every project on your drives into one searchable library, and it carries this whole catalog, more than 1,200 labels and outlets, as a directory you can filter by genre next to the track you are about to send.
The directory is free. Searchable, genre-tagged, the histories, the outlets kept visibly apart from the labels, and the pay-to-play warnings, with no cap and no trial clock. A warning is worth nothing to the person who has already paid, which is why that flag is not the paid part.
Known demo routes are part of Pro, a $44 one-time purchase that is never a subscription, together with submission tracking Pro: you pick a label and hit send once, the app opens that label's route and logs the send in the same click, and the history then lives on the track itself with dates, replies, and an amber flag when a send has sat unanswered for 30 days. A route you dig up yourself is yours on any tier, and so is every note you write about a label.
It runs on your machine and only your machine. There is no account, nothing about your library leaves the computer, and the catalog is a local database that you own.
